Well, the groundhog was spot on with his prediction this year for residents of Arkansas where Community Auctions is headquartered! Our offices received 15″ of snow over the last week.
With the office closed our staff was able to focus on the things that matter most in life —family. Snow days are a special kind of day off—an unexpected gift that can’t be planned for, only appreciated when it’s given.
Community Auctions’ commitment to family, integrity, and the common good not only extends to our partners and customers but also our work family.
Snow is an excuse to focus on beauty instead of productivity, adventure instead of achievement. Of course, for workers, missing work is typically not a gift but a burden, far more stressful than relieving.
Relieving the burden that they may have felt this week by paying employees for a normal workweek has allowed for the chance to pause and wonder at the beauty of the natural world.
We look forward to a revitalized sense of fulfillment and enthusiasm as operations begin again on Monday Feb, 22nd. Our teams will be working harder than ever to assist all the customers and partners who have been affected by this disruption in our availability. Thank you all for your patience as we get back to normal operation!
