Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago as our featured partner for July.  Lurie Children’s is a nationally ranked pediatric acute care children’s hospital located in Chicago Illinois. We have raised over $260,000 for this hospital during the lifetime of our partnership with them, and are looking forward to seeing this partnership grow.

Lurie Children’s is a treatment, research, and educational hospital–that excels in all venues. Founded in 1882 as the Maurice Porter Memorial Hospital with only 8 beds in a cottage, Lurie Children’s, has since grown to 360 beds in a state-of-the-art facility. On June 9, 2012, the hospital opened near its academic partner NorthwesternUniversity Feinberg School of Medicine. As of 2021 Lurie Children’s has placed nationally in all 10 ranked pediatric specialties on U.S. News & World Report The hospital boasts a family-friendly floor with places to relax from the stress of an ill child–art spaces, video game areas, family dining spaces, and sibling rooms.  Lurie Children’s recognizes the need to go above and beyond medical care to include the social and emotional well-being of their young patients and their families.
