Sabrina has been in and out of the hospital her entire life. At the age of 2, doctors diagnosed her with a debilitating and sometimes fatal diagnosis - Crohn's disease. Crohn's is an inflammatory bowel disease that involves different areas of the digestive tract.
Since then, Sabrina has lost most of her colon and appendix, battled migraines, and fought off a weakened immune system. She even survived a supraventricular tachycardia, an abnormally fast heartbeat that caused emergency medical technicians to have to stop her heart twice during her 9th grade school year.
Cook Children's has been by Sabrina's side, helping her reach many milestones along the way. Now, at 17 years old, Sabrina has a passion to support other kids who have similar diagnoses.
