September General Newsletter–Fall into Fall

September is a time for new beginnings, and it’s also a great time to reflect on the power of giving. When we give to others, we not only make a difference in their lives, but we also make a difference in our own. Giving can make us feel good about ourselves, it can connect us to our community, and it can help us to build a more just and equitable world.

Here at Community Auctions, September heralds the start of football season, our busiest season to fundraise for our various local charities around the nation. Last September, we raised over $76,000 in support of these charities and of course, our goal this year is to surpass that total. We are excited to launch football season in both NFL and college team cities.

September is also the time of year to fall back into more structured school and family routines. Gone are lazy vacation days at the beach as homework and raking leaves arrive. As we glide into a new season, let’s celebrate the glorious change in the foliage as the Earth too glides into a new time. This is a time of new beginnings, reflections on how far we have come, and setting goals for what we want to achieve this Fall.

Nestled in the Ouachita Mountains, we at Community Auctions are blessed to be surrounded by beauty and lifted by the generosity of all of our local business partners, local charity partners, and patrons. So far this year we have been honored to donate over $600,000 to non-profit organizations—and we still have 4 months to go! Fall into fall!
