April is full of such hope--hope for the sun to return, hope for a spring of rebirth, hope for the future. At Community Auctions, we choose to live in this hope as we have seen it come to fruition time and time again. Yet, as Marty Rubin pointed out, we need to get out and work in the garden. For Community Auctions that garden is the soil of generosity that allows our charity partners to flourish. We depend on our community partners to provide space for this garden and our plethora of patrons to till the soil. This generosity blooms into support for so many local nonprofits around the country.
Despite all the difficulties our nation has endured, nothing has extinguished this generosity. Last month alone, Community Auctions was able to raise over $75,000 for our charity partners. This is such a reason for hope! As John Glenn said in 1997, "If there's one thing I've learned in my years on this planet, it's that the happiest and most fulfilled people are those who devote themselves to something bigger and more profound than merely their own self-interest."
At Community Auctions, we are so excited at the selfless devotion we find in our charity partners, business partners, and all of our patrons. We are ready to roll up our sleeves, toss the umbrellas away and dig in for Spring of Giving. We so appreciate everything all of our participants do to make this a success. Let's keep our garden growing and celebrate the joy of generosity. Happy Spring!
