Gratitude–November Newsletter

When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. —Tecumseh

November 1. 2022

November is here and our thoughts turn to home and holidays.  Here at Community Auctions, we are so grateful for the opportunities we have to partner with local charities around the country and do our best to make a difference.  So far this year we have raised over $625,000 to benefit charitable organizations.

Gratitude—what a powerful idea.  Gratitude turns what we have into abundance, turns denial into acceptance, turns chaos into order, and gives us a vision for tomorrow.   Here at Community Auctions, we try to live in gratitude—gratitude for the work we are doing, gratitude for the people we are able to help, and gratitude for each other.   It’s hard to live in the gorgeous surroundings of central Arkansas and not wake up full of thanks for nature’s beauty.  I know personally, that when I begin my day with gratitude prayers, joy and abundance follow.  “Gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”–G.K. Chesterton

Gratitude

We hope to share that vision with all of you.  Thanksgiving is one fabulous day in November when we all pause to give thanks, but imagine the world we could create in which we lived in thanks for all that comes to us?  We believe,  like Rob Sitlanen, that “ people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones that do.”  We are proudly “crazy” in this sense at  Community Auctions.   We wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all of our partners and patrons!
