october newsletter

“October is the fallen leaf, but it is also a wider horizon more clearly seen. It is the distant hills once more in sight, and the enduring constellations above them once again.” — Hal Borland

October gives a moment to pause and enjoy the beauty of nature before we tumble into the busy holiday season.  October gives the Earth a chance to catch its breath and with each exhale, brings us leaves in the breeze.  October gives us chance to reflect on the year so far, and to gear up before the winter.

At Community Auctions’ home office in central Arkansas, we are blessed to be located between the Ouachita National Forest and Hot Springs National Park.  We are surrounded by glorious trees turning crimson, gold, and cinnamon brown.   The first frost brings a sprinkling of sugar ice which gives the entire scene ephemeral magic that is gone all too soon.   October encourages us to hike and enjoy the outdoors during the day, and the cozy safety of family and hearth in the evening.
