Community Auctions is proud to recognize  St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation as our Featured Partner for April 2022.  Community Auctions has been able to raise over $100,000 for  St. Louis Children’s Hospital over the lifetime of our relationship thus far, and we look forward to seeing that number continue to grow.

From its inception at an afternoon tea in 1878, St. Louis Children’s Hospital has grown to be one of the nation’s top-ranked pediatric hospitals.  Starting with a modest 15-bed hospital, St. Louis Children’s has grown to have  402 licensed beds, which includes 56 pediatric intensive care beds, a 122-bed newborn intensive care unit, and a 16-bed pediatric bone marrow transplant unit. Each year the hospital receives about 275,000 patient visits, and the school of medicine receives about 150,000 patient visits. By partnering with Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis Children’s is always on the cutting edge of medical research and treatment.  This has enabled St. Louis Children’s to rank among the top in all pediatric specialties available at the hospital.   Furthermore, St. Louis Children’s goes beyond the physical care of its young patients.   Beginning with an afternoon kindergarten for hospitalized children in 1894, St. Louis Children’s now offers an entire Child Life team devoted to helping children and their families cope with the anxiety of long hospital stays by providing art, music, and educational opportunities.  St. Louis Children’s has remained true to its 1878 vision to provide quality care for young patients.
